Esta relaci\u00f3n es:<br \/>\n<center><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size:1.6em;\">(hipotenusa)<sup>2<\/sup> = (cateto1)<sup>2<\/sup> + (cateto2)<sup>2<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>es decir: <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size:1.6em;\">&#8220;El cuadrado de la hipotenusa es igual a la suma de los cuadrados de los catetos&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<ul>\n<p>La aplicaci\u00f3n a la pr\u00e1ctica es sencilla:<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>Si conocemos los dos catetos, simplemente elevamos al cuadrado ambos y los sumamos. La ra\u00edz cuadrada de esta suma ser\u00e1 la hipotenusa.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>Si conocemos un cateto y la hipotenusa, hallamos la hipotenusa al cuadrado menos el cateto al cuadrado.
